Judas
1 Cor 12:27-31
A: One body with many parts (3)
B: 27
C: I will remember each of us play a part.
Last night, my grandnephew had a cold head. Literally... His head turned cold, and he had a bloated stomach. He was hungry, but he wouldn't drink. I was worried. I was even more worried by the "caring" adults' reactions.
Yes, I know what my stepniece did, or how she behaves. Honestly, are we to play with this little life because we want to teach her a lesson?
Judas was chosen as one of the 12 disciples. Out of the many that was following Jesus. AND Jesus knows what Judas would do 3 years later. Yet, throughout these 3 years, Jesus loved Judas the same way He loved others.
I know many will disagree with me. Wrong should be discouraged, but what if the person has no on educating her what's right and wrong in the first place? What if all she saw, were examples of "wrongdoings"?
Personally, I've screwed up, like a zillion million times, yet each time I dont feel Jesus giving up on me.
So that's why I dont give up loving others either.
Sigh.. The virus is flying around.. Ashton and Isaiah is sick... My other nephew failed his PSLE prelimary exams.. I am not disappointed, just worried. Sent a text to encourage him. Ashton did pretty well.. God is good..
Stayed up the whole night to sponge Ashton and Isaiah.. Mainly Isaiah.. The boy developed heat rash... Prayed that he'll get well...

The Weakest Link

C: I will remember being weak and the least can be the most important in God's eyes.
Being a teacher in never easy.
I find it quite a pity when the term "teacher" is not being used once when we reached Poly or Uni..
Teacher Puspa once said,
"An early childhood teacher's pocket is always empty but her heart is always filled"
People will seldom appreciate the job of an early childhood educator.
"Huh, need to study one ar? Study for what, teach children very easy what?" That was what a Taxi Uncle told me. What he had commented would have made Jean Piaget live and died again...
In fact, there are many adult problems that can be solved during their childhood, if their teachers were alert enough to look out for them... If parents knew how to observe them, and major problems later in life can be avoided. Children are born to survive, they outsmart us. If they enter the matrix world, they'll be the first to fly..

Loser

C: I will remember that Christians belong to Christ, united.
Just like mater from Cars, he seemed like the major fool and loser, the least important but he helped in ways he cannot imagine, simply by being who he is.
Are you feeling very useless as a Christian? Well, I can easily tell you, dont be. Yet, it's hard to brush away that feelings when the way of the world, sometimes, gets into Church and people just disappoints you.
We're suppose to unify, but instead, like our modern society, the rich, powerful and highly educated has the say while, the guy who stutters is being treated badly, when he is much more spiritual than the high and mighty.. God knows.
A girl with depression finally got out of it. It sounds weird, but people only realised she was Missing In Action recently. Pitiful? Nope. Just obese. God knows.
Our senses may be the most useful tool to us, but somehow, it allows us to be more discriminating too. Yes, it is present in the Christian World..
How much of a fool and a loser are we willing to be? God knows.
I dont think I am good at all in any ways for a King to die for me. I feel extremely honoured, humbled that He would even know my name.
So if any Christian out there thinks "I'm the smartest" or "greatest", please be careful, because God knows who we are. And coz with the mentality of the "We're the boss", there'll be one day where we find ourselves not needing God anymore. So... be careful, God knows.
One thing I really love about being a teacher, is learning from your students.

C: I will be contended with the gift the Holy Spirit has given me.
All day long, most of us will dream of being a superhero like spiderman, Superman, wonderwoman, etc.
But hey, being a Christian has it powers too. And the One giving it never has any weakness =)
Today Josiah my grandnephew went for his first swim. He enjoyed it =) My stomach was much settled, but at the end of the day, i diarrheaed again.. Went to watch Cars 2! Kinda match my QT today. Will explain more in the next post

VIRUS

Today marks the 4th day of my diarrhea.. Everything I ate, came out painfully, quickly, and watery. Heh.. Sorry for the vivid picture... In a way, I am thankful because I am losing weight!! and i fell sick during the holidays..
Sigh.. I miss the boys that left from my class.. One went back to India, then to US coz his dad got posted there. I've grown to love both of them very much... THe other boy is going to childcare.. I'll be praying that he's able to adapt as much as possible... nonetheless life has to go on...

Man
Thank God Presidential Elections are over. Dr Tony Tan will be the President for Singapore for the coming 6 years. He is a man who can represent Singapore.
Today i witness how another man grew so defensive with a simple story i shared. He claimed he learnt his lessons, but obviously not.. Well, i will keep praying for him, no use dwelling on what he say.
3rd day of diarrhea.. Didnt go to church today..... my stomach's happily churning the gases over and over.. urgh......
Did QT on 1 Corinthians 11:1-16 today.. What struck me was how Paul said that women, are made for man. But he also said that "among the Lord's people, women are not independent of men, and men are not independent of women. For although the first woman came from man, every other man was born from a woman and everything comes from God" (NLT, verse 11-12)
And what did I write down as part of the challenge.. Something really challenging, i.e. I will respect men... Oh man, what did I get myself into? This is so hard to do.. God help me!!
